Mônica Zarattini, 1962, doutora em Artes pela USP, formada em 2019 com pesquisa em fotografia contemporânea. Mestre em Comunicações pela ECA/USP, aprovada em 2013 com pesquisa sobre a legenda fotográfica. É bacharel em História pela USP desde 1986. Fotojornalista e editora de fotografia. Trabalhou no jornal O Estado de S. Paulo e Jornal da Tarde por mais de 26 anos. Recebeu o III Prêmio Embratel de Fotografia e o XXIII Prêmio Vladimir Herzog de Anistia e Direitos Humanos em 2001, entre outros. Autora do fotolivro PLANO, SECO E PONTIAGUDO (SP: Editora Madalena, 2018). Autora da série de retratos da exposição VIVA LA DIFERENCIA! do Museu da Ciencia de Barcelona (2007/2009). Mostrou a cidade de São Paulo em exposição individual PAULICÉIA no Museu da Imagem e Som (1999). Juntamente com dez fotógrafas, produziu livro e exposição, AS DONAS DA BOLA, no CCSP(2013) sobre mulheres e futebol. Integra o acervo de fotografia do Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo (MAM) e o acervo de fotografia do Museu do Futebol de São Paulo.

She worked at O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper and Jornal da Tarde for over 26 years. She received the III Embratel Photography Award and the XXIII Vladimir Herzog Amnesty and Human Rights Award in 2001, among others. Author of the photobook PLANO, SECO E PONTIAGUDO ["PLAN, DRY AND POINTIAGUDO"] (SP: Editora Madalena, 2018). Author of the portrait series of the exhibition VIVA LA DIFERENCIA! of the Museu de la Ciencia de Barcelona (2007/2009). Showed the city of São Paulo in solo exhibition PAULICÉIA at the Museum of Image and Sound (1999). Together with ten female photographers, produced a book and exhibition, AS DONAS DA BOLA ["THE LADIES OF THE SOCCERBALL"], at CCSP (2013) about women and soccer. She is part of the photography collection of the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo (MAM) and the photography collection of the Soccer Museum of São Paulo.
